SKOCH Digital Inclusion Award 2012: FPS Automation – COREPDS (Centralised Online Real-time Electronic PDS)
COREPDS is automation of 12,500 Fair Price Shops in Chhattisgarh. Beneficiaries can take their entitlements by providing Aadhaar authentication. the concept of portability of entitlements has been first time introduced in COREPDS. At each FPS, Android based Tab with STQC certified finger print scanner is used as a Point of Sale (POS) device. Provision is made to issue offline in case of connectivity problems.
