NIC Activities
- A delegation from Colombia, headed by His Excellency, Hon’ble Minister of ICT, Govt of Colombia, visited NIC Hqrs., New Delhi. Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, NIC, & senior officers held discussions on fostering technological collaboration & innovation between two countries.
- Smt. Sharmistha Dasgupta, DDG, NIC gave a detailed presentation on how NIC is using Emerging Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data & Image Analytics in eGovernance to deliver citizen-centric services across the country.
- Training Division, NIC Headquarters successfully conducted Induction Training at GNEC, IIT Roorkee, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for approximately 140 newly recruited NIC employees. Additionally, they visited the National Data Centre, Shastri Park, enriching their onboarding experience.
- A State Level Workshop was organized in Jaipur by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Rajasthan on ‘Civil Registration System – Pehchan’ to create awareness on the RBD Amendment Act’ 2023 and the new initiatives on the portal.
- Preparatory Training for rollout of the latest version of StarBus – a product suite by NIC has been conducted in Arunachal Pradesh. The system digitizes the lifecycle of bus tickets from search, booking, cancellation, rescheduling, & feedback from a traveler’s perspective.
- Training sessions on NeVA Application were conducted separately for the Members of the Legislative Assembly & Department Administrative Secretaries at Manipur Legislative Assembly. NeVA by NIC enables the Chair of the House to conduct the proceedings of the House smoothly.
