Activities at NIC
- Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology organized Inter-Ministerial Conference Securing the Digital Government Workplace, in New Delhi. Senior Govt Officers from Ministries/ Depts, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Deputy CISOs and other stakeholders participated in the event. Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar appreciated the role of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) across Ministries & Departments. Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, MeitY, set the Context of the Inter-Ministerial Conference. He talked about security audits, how to protect ICT infrastructure from cyber threats and the need for alternative mechanisms to defeat security breaches. Shri Rajesh Gera, Director General, NIC delivered vote of thanks and acknowledged the efforts of all the Chief Information Security Officers, in Ministries/ Departments of Government of India. He thanked Hon’ble Union Minister of State Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, Additional Secretary, MeitY, Senior Govt Officials, and all other stakeholders for their gracious presence. Shri R.S. Mani, Deputy Director General, National Informatics Centre gave a detailed presentation on Cyber Resilience. He spoke on the role of Cyber Resilience Framework in keeping the digital ecosystem safe.
- His Excellency Timothy Mark Masiu, Minister of ICT, Govt. of Papua New Guinea visited NIC HQ along with his delegation. Shri Rajesh Gera, DG, NIC and Senior Officers of NIC presented the eGovernance solutions and technology-driven services delivered by NIC.
