A 3-Days Workshop on e-Granthalaya 4.0 & Automation and Networking of Libraries was jointly organized by NIC, Department of Library & Information Science of Manipur University and Manipur Legislative Assembly. Developed by NIC, e-Granthalaya is a complete ICT solution transforming traditional libraries to e-Library.

An orientation session on ‘Digital India’, chaired by Shri Sushil Pal, JS(IC) was planned by MeitY for a delegation of Indian origin youth under Know India Programme of Ministry of External Affairs. It showcased the success achieved by the country in its transition towards Digital Economy. Shri IPS Sethi, DDG, NIC, delivered a talk on NIC’s Digital Products & Platforms to the youth from 14 Nations.

प्रोफेशर रीता बहुगुणा जोशी जी की अध्यक्षता में संसदीय राजभाषा समिति ने रायपुर में एनआईसी कार्यालय के साथ निरीक्षण बैठक की। इस दौरान समिति ने मंत्रालय एवं विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में हो रहे राजभाषा हिंदी के कार्यों का अवलोकन किया।

In collaboration with the Centre of e-Governance, Assam Administrative Staff College and NIC, a one-day symposium was conducted on Artificial intelligence(AI) & Internet of Things (IoT). Officers from various Government Departments of Assam attended the event. DDG & SIO, NIC Assam briefed about technologies and projects of NIC being adopted and implemented by the State Government. HoD, AI & IoT gave an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI)Technology and its use in various Government Departments and sectors.

Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare’s Nationwide Campaign for Submission of Digital Life Certificates by Pensioners successfully running across the country. Generation of Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan developed by NIC) using face recognition technology has reduced the dependence of pensioners on any external biometric device. It has made the process more convenient, accessible & affordable for pensioners.
