• A Workshop & Capacity Building Program was organized for the field-level officers of Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) on ‘UREDA Online’, the Online Subsidy Disbursal System developed by NIC Uttarakhand for the energy conservation schemes of Uttarakhand Government. UREDA Online is a Workflow based integrated system comprises of a Web portal and Mobile App, equipped with Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing and Online Payment Acceptances and disbursal facility.

• Training Division, NIC organized a workshop on “Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act” at NIC Hqrs, New Delhi. NIC officials from States & Districts were connected via Video Conferencing and Webcast. Esteemed speakers Shri Rakesh Maheshwari, Former CG, Cyber Law, MeitY and Shri Deepak Goel, Scientist-G, Cyber Law Division, MeitY spoke on context setting for data protection, legislative landscape in the country, and various actionable points for data protection.

• A Vietnamese Delegation headed by His Excellency Major General Duong Van Tinh, Director General, Department of Information Technology, Vietnam visited NIC Hqrs., New Delhi for collaborative cooperation in the field of National level eGovernance Solutions.

• Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, Deputy Director General, NIC, in the presence of other Senior Officers, gave a brief presentation on the National level eGovernance solutions & the Digital platforms developed by NIC, delivering Citizen centric services at the grassroots level.

• Glimpses of the Knowledge Exchange session organised by NIC for the Vietnamese delegation at NIC Hqrs., New Delhi.

• A group of students from the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) visited NIC Hqrs., New Delhi to learn about the latest trends in technology.

• Senior NIC Officers briefed them about the use of Artificial Intelligence, Conversational AI, and Cyber Security in eGovernance for smooth delivery of citizen centric services.

• Shri Amit Agrawal, CEO, UIDAI and Director General, NIC, delivered the Keynote Address – Enhancing User Experience based design of e-Gov applications, at the ‘National Workshop on Powering Transformation through UI/UX for Digital Governance’, organized by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, in New Delhi.

• Shri Niladri Bihari Mohanty, Joint Director (IT), NIC highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, at a lecture on ‘Advancing Healthcare: Exploring AI’s Impact and Opportunities’, recently hosted by the Directorate of Health Services, Odisha.

• A workshop on AI/Generative AI in the Tourism Industry was conducted by NIC at the Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management in Bhubaneswar. During the training, students were empowered with knowledge of various GenAI tools through hands-on demos.
